About Us

At Color Outside the Lines, we believe that art has the power to transform lives and promote mental and emotional health.

Since 2015, our mission has been simple: to provide all children with the opportunity to grow creatively, no matter their background. For the past decade, we have assisted more than 5,000 underserved youth by offering fully-funded creative experiences, classes, and opportunities in the arts.

Our team at Color Outside the Lines is composed of a Director, a Development Director, two licensed art therapists and teachers, and a Board of Directors. In addition to our staff, many wonderful community contributors and volunteers have worked alongside us. Every person on our team is equally devoted to creating a program that brings more meaning and color to the lives of children in Oregon.

We partner with several local organizations to ensure that we are directly serving those who can most benefit from our programming. Our friends at the Department of Human Services connect us with foster children and families, allowing us to assist Oregon’s most vulnerable youth. We also serve the at-risk youth at Friends of the Children, CASA, and the Native American Youth Association by offering free arts classes and creative opportunities.
